After moving to Bridlington from Sussex many years ago we opened an art shop/ picture framing shop. During the 19 years we framed items I was always frustrated with the amount of waste wood that I could see all around me and I also realised that my framing suppliers where pushing frame mouldings that were using wood that was not sustainable.

One day I decided to take apart an old pallet that had been standing in the street, opposite the shop for weeks. I decided I was going to saw it up, sand it down, rebate it and make frames from it, I had had enough of thinking about it!

I got some funny looks and comments at first but it only takes one person to take you seriously and slowly I found I was making more frames from the old wood that I was getting from all around me , on the beach , in skips, on the street etc.... Once you look you will find it everywhere. I decided to try selling online which went slowly at first, then grew a bit,then a bit more. Eventually I had to decide if I wanted the shop or to sell online only. I was going nuts trying to do both so I decided go online.

We now sell wordwide and all over the U.K. And have also been able to branch out into furniture which suits me as it employs my joinery skills, I was a joiner before framing.
